day 2

today we started off the day around 8 am when we woke up and attempted to get ready. it didn't go so well since I don't have any luggage and then kristen wanted to curl her hair. well the curling iron was plugged in for maybe 1 minute and we hear a loud pop. uhm our first thought was oh no the curling iron broke, after laughing about it for a minute we realized no chargers are working and the light won't even turn on. kristen blew the fuze so we went to breakfast and off we went. we got in the car to move onto our next destination, bregenz, austria! so of course abby slept the whole way while dad drove and me and kristen ate snacks. 

along the ride dad pointed out these things that looked like tree houses out in the big fields and described them as "oh people go up there to shoot deer," well kristen must have misunderstood cause she said "waitttt there is not a deer up on that stand, I don't see it !! why would a deer be on the stand." so now we call them deer stands and laugh every time we see them. 

we decided today would be lesiurely day since we couldn't pick my luggage up until 3:00. so on our way we saw a sign for a castle so we thought why not check it out. well we never found the castle we ended up at a market that sold potery and flowers.

but we did however find a snack there that was really good! it was a flat bread pizza with onions and bacon on it. 

then we moved forward to a town called stuttgart, germany where we walked around the city center, shopped a little, and walked through a church. 

after that we tried to find something to eat but nothing was looking good. after buying way to many pastries me and abby found a crepe stand, ab ordered a nutel crepe and I got a cheese and ham crepe. it was delicious!! well we struggled with the bathrooms..here is a picture of one. you have to pay euros to go to the bathroom and after all that I left the go pro hanging in the bathroom and had to go back and get it. yes I had to pay again.

finally it was time to go pick up my bag, the airport was suppose to call when my bag got there but they never called. we just showed up in hopes to find it and luckily we stopped by. they thought they didn't have it but the lady took me into the back room and I found my bag !!!! best day or the trip because I've had the same yoga pants on for three days...not okay. finally it was time to go to

our destination, we arrived in bregenz around 6 pm and and went straight to the gondola to head up the mountain. the plan was to ride up and hike down. it was beautiful !!

as we worked our way down we talked to a few people that told us there is a celebration since tomorrow is the longest day of the year so they had a huge bonfire, big sausages, and beer. so we joined the celebrated but once again it started pouring rain. we decided to leave and walk back down instead of taking the shuttle...bad idea. 

it was cold wet and rainy. I took a fall. yes abby got the whole fall on the go pro.

the hike down was rough, very muddy and slippery and kristen and abby had on their nice white converse that aren't white anymore. kristen has a few blisters and you could see the blood through her shoes but don't worry, all is well here. kristen and kirt survived.

I can't tell you how many time we have been told, "oh we knew you were americans you are so loud and happy" I guess we can take that as a compliment. we finally checked into the hotel room about 9:30 pm and headed off to another excellent dinner along lake constance! 

today has been so busy but so much fun! we can't wait to get on the road again tomorrow !!
