woke up frantically after we all slept in till 9, sleep was much needed for me since i had been up nearly 30 hours. kirt went and got us a coke and baguette for mother’s day so we ate that and headed out for the segway tour. we quickly realized there was races going on in the city all day, marathon, half, 10k, 5k. this made the segway slightly harder to nagivate. there were a few near misses but over all a success.
after this we enjoyed a lunch at a local favorite where we had the local favorite pizza. which was very overrated. we each ordered a drink with a big cup of ice. yes, we ended up with a small cup and two ice cubes that quickly melted when i poured my warm coke on top.
there was a pastry shop that was suppose to have the best eclair’s in the world so we went and got those. however, there was only about 5 people there so maybe they weren’t the best in the world…
next was the boat tour, this was great. we learned a lot more about the city. kirt on the other hand did not learn much…
after the boat tour we walked around for a while in search of a good dinner that ended up not being good. however, jan got her hot dogs and sauerkraut so i guess it could be a win. as if kirts boat nap wasn’t enough we came home for a quick nap after dinner then kirt and i headed out to see the city at night! it was a great day!!
